Welcome to an Exhibits Website

Fifty years ago next year the first USIA cultural exchange exhibit took place in Moscow's Sokolniki Park. This seems to us like an occasion that deserves to be marked in some way. This website is intended to serve as a forum for discussion on the subject as well as a kind of social networking venue for former USIA exhibit guides and staff.

Register.  Group participation is an absolute requirement for this site to be of any use or interest. We're democratic here and hope everyone will jump in. The first step is to go to the registration page by clicking here or from the menu at the top.

The Directory.  Each registration adds another entry to the directory. To view the Directory you must be logged in. Within the directory a user can send individual or bulk emails to those listed. Let your exhibit contacts know about this site!

Guides unite imageA 50th Anniversary Reunion?
What do you think about organizing a 50th exhibits reunion next year? When and where? Late summer? Early fall? In Washington? Should it just be a social gathering? Or perhaps something more formal, complete with speakers and publicity? Please feel free to take advantage of our (your) blog to share your thoughts on this.

The Blog. Once people get used to it, this forum will probably end up being the busiest part of the website. When you get there, the first thing to do is register and login. You can read all the posts without being registered, but you do need to login in order to post new items or comment on others. So please jump in. Be sure to select a category from the drop-down list when you post something. This will make it easier to navigate to subjects of interest later.

Photo and video gallery. Coming soon will be a way to post your favorite photos, probably via Flickr. In the meantime, feel free to include photos in your regular posts.
